Manor West Hotel awarded for Excellence in Accommodation Services:
The Manor West Hotel is proud to announce that it was recently awarded the South West Region winner of the ‘Irish Accommodation Services Award' for excellence in its accommodation services and standards as set out by the IASI for 2005.
The Irish Accommodation Services Institute (IASI), formerly the Association of Hotel Accommodation Management, is the national body representing the professional interests of the accommodation industry in Ireland. Now in its 21st year of operation the IASI have spear headed the theme of Quality in People and Quality in Service. They have propelled this theme through their work and ensured that the development of the National Accommodation Services award has quickly become the nationally recognised standard of excellence in the hospitality industry.
The Manor West Hotel certainly reflects this ethos of Quality in People and Quality in Service. Having opened the hotel in the last year it is obvious that the high standards and dedication that have been invested in this new hotel have not been overlooked in the hotels 77 guest bedrooms.
Indeed, the Manor West Hotel's Accommodation Manager ‘Carol Kennelly' reinforces the hotel ethos toward its accommodation services.
“We at the Manor West Hotel are delighted to have received this very prestigious accolade. All of our accommodation staff are very dedicated in ensuring that our high standards are always maintained. As Accommodation Manager I continually aim to ensure that there is that extra personal touch made when servicing all our rooms. Each room is inspected daily and we have a very tight maintenance schedule which ensures that the rooms are maintained to a very high standard at all times. The developers, Boyle Brothers Construction have ensured that the design of our rooms are unique & contemporary and each room boasts a fresh feel with state of the art facilities which ensures our guests have a sound nights sleep”.

Manor West Hotel receive AA **** 4 Stars
The Manor West Hotel has recently been accredited with the much coveted AA 4 Star standard.
This award reflects the standard of both service and facilities at the hotel. The accreditation has been received following meticulous preparation and training. As a new hotel, the design process and fit out were all undertaken with the standards and assessment of the AA in mind. To this end the atmosphere in both the public areas and guest rooms ensures an enjoyable visit.
The level of service plays a huge role in the hotel experience and to this end all staff have been trained to the highest standard. Annette Gavin, Deputy Manager and Human Resource Coordinator is all too aware of the importance of staff training, “It is vital that our staff are aware of the key role they play in the hotel experience. A warm smile on arrival, crisp linen and tasty food all ensure a good impression of the hotel. We pride ourselves on producing a very high standard product, be that bedrooms, leisure facilities or food but the real differentiating factor is the service.”
The hotel is delighted to have received this standard of excellence less than 12 months after opening and believe it is the first of many awards in recognition of a fresh design with traditional service.
