Barndardos
For the first year ever, Select Hotels of Ireland organized a Teddy Bears Picnic for the County of Cork. Together with 4 of our Cork Hotels; Actons Hotel, The Celtic Ross, the Midleton Park Hotel and The Montenotte, we organized a joint Event in Fota House & Gardens. The day was so successful it is set to become an annual event and we were delighted to have raised some much needed funds for Barnardos.

Barnardos supports children whose well-being is under threat, by working with them, their families and communities and by campaigning for the rights of children. Barnardos was established in Ireland in 1962 and is Ireland's leading independent children's charity.
Select Hotels of Ireland are proud to be a charity partner of Barnardos. As a group, we wished to support a national children's charity and Barnardos' work across Ireland with vulnerable children and their families very much reflects the family ethos of the Select Hotels network. In 2006 we launched the Barnardos Bear, which is sold in all Select properties to raise much-needed funds.
