What is a cookie?

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your personal computer, mobile or other device when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognises that cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user's device.

Persistent cookies - these cookies remain on a user's device for the period of time specified in the cookie. They are activated each time that the user visits the website that created that particular cookie.

Session cookies - these cookies allow website operators to link the actions of a user during a browser session. A browser session starts when a user opens the browser window and finishes when they close the browser window. Session cookies are created temporarily. Once you close the browser, all session cookies are deleted.

Cookies do lots of different jobs, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improve the user experience. They can also help to ensure that adverts you see online are more relevant to you and your interests.

You can find more information about cookies at www.allaboutcookies.org and www.youronlinechoices.eu.

Using browser settings to manage cookies.

Family

Check into an Irish family-run Hotel and you’ll begin to understand the love and care that we offer to our staff and customers. Here at the County Arms Hotel, we focus on providing you with the comfort, enjoyment and sincerity that you expect when you visit a close friend. A family-run Hotel to us, is the kind of place where the barman knows your drink, where the Breakfast waitress orders your bacon extra crispy and you can phone down for a free jug of fresh milk instead of that UHT stuff.

There are certain intangibles that make a Hotel staff member special, and none of them can be taught. When you visit the County Arms Hotel, you should expect the small things to be taken care of, that the answer will always be YES and that you’ll leave knowing you were looked after.

Kids club and hotel family facilities

Each family bedroom at the County Arms Hotel is equipped with either a set of bunk beds or 2 single beds (which will sleep two children) and a queen size bed for parents. An extra bed or a cot will comfortably fit in our family bedrooms if required giving a maximum capacity of 2 adults and 3 children. Please request Bunk-beds when making your reservation as they are always our most popular Bedrooms.
