The Jameson Suite named after the local and famous Jameson Distillery is our principal conference suite. Its location overlooking the private garden & fountain allows ample natural light in the room.

The Garden Suite is our second largest function room and can accommodate up to 120 guests.

It benefits from natural daylight from our private garden and can accommodate a wide range of events. With a fully licensed bar in the room, it is an ideal room for small intimate weddings, social dinners, christenings, birthday parties, arrival receptions & boardroom meetings from 2 - 120 people.

The room can also be used for civil wedding ceremonies. With direct access to our gardens, it makes for the ideal location for pre-dinner drinks.

We have received approval from the Health Services Executive. Couples must apply directly to the Health Services Executive Civil Registration Office as the hotel cannot apply on their behalf.

We offer fantastic Afternoon Tea in our Park Lobby for only €14.95 per person. It consists of a delicious selection of sandwiches, cakes & pastries. Park Bar

Park Cafe Bar is open from 11.30am and serves carvery lunch, evening meals and light snacks throughout the day. Promoting fine Irish ingredients with an international flare the Park Bar is an ideal meeting place for family, friends or business acquaintances. Traditional stone and timber floors with plush wooden panelling combine to create a unique welcoming atmosphere. Live music every Saturday makes it an ideal spot for a weekend break.

The Midleton Park Hotel is long established as a family friendly hotel with facilities to ensure you and your family enjoy every minute of your stay. Our location in the heart of East Cork is a gateway to the many wonderful attractions that East Cork has to offer. We offer spacious family rooms and interconnecting rooms, make sure to tell us your requirements and we will allocate a room suitable for your needs. We have a fantastic family suite which contains two bedrooms, one double and one triple room with single beds, perfect for a family holiday.

 

Talbot Tiger Kids Club


During mid-terms and Summer holidays this area is reserved for the Talbot Tiger Kids Club between 5:30pm and 9:30pm daily.
Operated by our Health Club team, it is suitable for children over 4 years and activities include movies, arts & crafts, giant games and board games. Due to health & safety regulations children under 4 are not accepted into the Talbot Tiger Kids Club.

Movie Club
We have launched a Movie Club which takes place every day from 12.30-2.00. Admission is €3.50 per child & they get Crisps & a Drink. This club is only open to 4-12 year olds. Sign up is at reception. For more imformation-Click here 

Children taking part in the Talbot Tiger Kids Club must register at reception by 11:30am daily. Dinner can be organised during the Park Bear Kids Club, the cost per child is €10 and dinner is served at 5:30pm for children.


Children must be pre-registered daily at reception by 12 noon to partake in the Park Bears Kids Club.


 

Family Things To Do

Midleton Farmers Market (5 mins):
This bustling market town has its own Farmers Market every Saturday from 10am to 1.30pm and is one of the best in the country. Fresh fish, home baked breads, wonderful vegetables, and even a Jazz Duo on certain dates make this a must see attraction when visiting Midleton.

 

Irelands only drive-in Cinema (10 mins):

 

Ballymaloe House & Cookery School (15 mins): Located in nearby Shanagarry, visit the restaurant, food shop or take a weekday cookery course at the world famous Ballymaloe Cookery School - afternoon cookery demonstrations weekdays 2pm-5pm. The Cookery School Gardens include an ornamental fruit garden, a vegetable garden, a shell house, a maze, an herb garden and an herbaceous border.


Queenstown Heritage Centre (20 mins):
This award winning Heritage Centre tells the story of millions of Irish people who emigrated to the USA from Cobh. Exhibition on the building of The Titanic as Cobh was her last port of call.

 

Cobh (20 Mins):
This is one of the largest natural harbours in the world and some of the biggest cruise liners in the world dock here and are a sight to behold. On certain dates family events are held to welcome the arrival of the cruise liners. The annual Cobh Regatta in August is also a great event. Visit the Annie Moore statue - the first immigrant to disembark at Ellis Island. A visit to the amazing Cobh Cathedral is a must.


The Titanic Trail (20 Mins):
A fascinating guided heritage tour which explores the town of Cobh including St. Colmans Cathedral, the Lusitania Peace Memorial, Spike Island & The Famine, Convict Transport and of course the Titanic Monument. Operating since 1998 the tour has featured on National Geographic, the BBC and Australian TV. In April 1912 the Titanic sank with a loss of more than 1,500 lives and in 2012 it will be the 100th anniversary with a number of events being held to mark the occasion. The tour takes place year round at 11am and in June/July/August at 2pm also. Pre-booking is recommended. Titanic100 - Cork, formally Queenstown in Cork Harbour, was the last port of call for the magnificent cruise liner Titanic. To mark the centenary of the Titanic voyage, Cobh Town Council has initiated a programme of inspiring events running throughout the centenary year of 2012 to pay tribute to the Titanic and the people associated with her.

 

Spike Island Tours (20 mins):
Currently open for the high season up until the end of September, this tour explores the fascinating history of the island and visits locations and places that reflect its diverse use. The tour is both exciting and interesting and provides a fabulous afternoon in Cork Harbour. The tour takes place 7 days a week departing at 2pm from Kennedy Pier in Cobh, with tickets available at the booth. The tour lasts 70 to 95 mins and the boat journey to the island is 10 to 25 mins, depending on tidal conditions. Special introductory prices including the tour & boat trip are as follows Adult €12.50, Children U12 €8 & Families of 2 Adults & up to 3 Children €30. Barryscourt Castle (10 mins):
OPW run the Castle over 3 levels incorporating a ground floor exhibition on the Arts in Ireland with the upper levels containing reproduction furniture and utensils in both the Main Hall and the Great Hall. The grounds feature a replica of a medieval garden, an orchard stocked with mature fruit trees and a 16th century herb garden surrounded by a wall with corner towers.

 

Fota House & Gardens (10 mins):
One of the finest examples of regency architecture in Ireland, set in superb gardens and with a world renowned arboretum. Exciting discovery and educational activities for children on site. 


The Jameson Experience (5 mins):
Built in 1825, a 1 hour tour takes you through the buildings, the large water wheel and the largest pot still in the world. Gift shop and restaurant on site. Discount available from Midleton Park Reception for residents of the hotel.


Cork Vision Centre @ St. Peters (20 mins):
One of Corks foremost cultural visitor attractions and has won several national and international awards. It embraces a diverse range of subject material and styles and presents an innovative perspective on Cork and the wider world. the centres focal point is a 1:500 scale model of Cork City.

 

Blarney Castle (45 mins):
Open year round, it is most famous for its stone which has the traditional power of conferring elequence on all who kiss it! Other attractions include wishing steps, a witch's kitchen and a Druids cave.
Cork City Tour (25 mins): Offering an Outer Limits Tour and the Cork City Tour, you can hop on and off as you please and experience the sights and sounds of Cork. Tours operate daily from March. Start the tours opposite the Tourist Office on Grand Parade.

 

Cork Sea Safari (20 mins):
Departing from Lapps Quay it is a combination of high speed thrills, history that spans centuries as well as the rich culture and heritage that abounds in Cork Harbour. Tours include The Grand Harbour Adventure, Dolphin Discovery, Kinsale by Sea Safari and The BBQ.

 

Theatre (25 mins):
When in the area why not catch a show at the Cork Opera House or the Everyman Palace Theatre in Cork City?
Shanagarry Design Centre (15 mins): Kilkenny shop, artisan cafe and arts and crafts studios open 7 days.
The Grand Harbour Adventure, Dolphin Discovery, Kinsale by Sea Safari and The BBQ.

 

Green Barn (15 mins):
20,000 sq feet of shopping including a kiddies section, costume jewellery, kitchen section, occasional furniture, pottery. Incorporates a covered 10,000 sq. ft. Garden Centre. Farmers Market every Friday 10am to 2pm


Eire Bass (20 mins):
First ever licensed saltwater fly fishing boat for bass, sea trout, pollack, mullet, mackerel, bream fishing. Fishing from the shore also available with equipment supplied


Old Midleton Distillery:
A tour of the Old Midleton Distillery is a journey through the story of Irish whiskey by means of an audio-visual presentation (available in 8 languages). Follow the old distillery trail through mills, maltings, stillhouse, warehouses and kilns - some of these buildings date back to 1795.
View the largest pot still in the world prior to sampling the internationally renowned Jameson Whiskey in the bar (minerals for children). Perhaps you'll have the opportunity of becoming a qualified Irish whiskey taster in the Jameson Bar? The Malt House Restaurant has gained a reputation for serving excellent homeamde food. All the main courses are entirely prepared and cooked on site using the local fresh ingredients.
The Malt House is open Nov - March: Tuesday - Saturday, 10.00-16.00, and April - Oct: Daily, 10.00-16.00. 


Blackrock Castle Observatory (20 mins):
A 16th century castle with space age technology located 4km from the heart of Cork City on the River Lee. Home to Cosmos at the Castle, an international award winning interactive science exhibition, a fun and exciting location to learn about the Universe and BCO Labs which is a working observatory. Guided tours of the castle and dungeons also available along with a courtyard restaurant. Theatre in the Castle also available on certain dates.


Cork City Gaol (25 mins): A step back in time to see what 19th/early 20th Century life was like in Cork both inside and outside prison walls. Lifelike figures, furnished cells, sound effects and fascinating images. Also incorporates the "Radion Museum Experience" dealing with the eraly days of Irish and International radio broadcasting.
