Ballast Bank Bar

The Ballast Bank is a rather curious man-made island in Wexford Harbour opposite the Talbot Hotel. It was erected to provide a place for loading and unloading ballast, which was essential to stabilise ships sailing without cargo.  Both the Talbot Hotel and the Ballast Bank were constructed in 1905 and so it seems fitting to name one of Wexford’s landmark bars after one of Wexford’s most famous landmarks.

The perfect venue for a pre-dinner drink or an enjoyable night out in good company.

Based on an old bonded warehouse, The Ballast Bank Bar and Grill provides a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in which to savour your favourite tipple and enjoy the best in live entertainment.

An extensive bar food menu is available throughout the day, with something to suit every palate and appetite and their popular carvery lunch is served Monday to Friday from 12pm- 2.30pm.The perfect place for dining in Wexford.

The Ballast Bar also offers Live Music from a Selection of Wexford's Top Musicians each Monday & Wednesday Evening from 10pm and Each Friday & Saturday Night from 10.30pm.
