WICKLOW 

Family Activities 

Clara Lara Fun Park 

50 Acres of fun for the whole family set in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains. Clara Lara Fun park is in County Wicklow midway between Laragh and Rathdrum. Activities include watersports, golf, go karting plus much more. Food is also available on site. 

Kia Ora Mini farm

Enjoy a great day out at this hands-on open farm where visitors get to interact with, hold and feed animals of the usual farmyard variety and some more exotic such as llamas, emus, alpacas, potbellied pigs, chinchillas, parrots, Scottish highland to name a few.

The farm also features an onsite coffee shop with tasty home-baking treats but picnics are also welcome. There is also ample outdoor seating at the coffee shop. 

The farms outdoor area covers many acres and offers a great location for a family picnic. 

The farm is fully wheelchair accessible, including cement paths, toilets, baby changing facilities and so many fun things to do such as giant buzz-off, under 4 play area, milking cow shed and small animals, pig sty, Go kart track, bird pens, fire engine, basketball, party shed, maze, real diggers, large animals, secure pond, basketball hoop, fire engine ride. Other activities include sandpits, a football pitch, a rough rider track and a convoy of ride on tractors. There is also free car parking available. 

Wicklow Bowl 

Located within walking distance of Wicklow town, Wicklow Bowl offers a variety of indoor entertainment including ten-pin bowling or the thrill of arcade games. 

The Glenroe Farm

The name "Glenroe" comes from the popular Irish television soap opera transmitted on Ireland’s national broadcaster every Sunday night from 1983 to 2001. 

The Glenroe Farm is also one of the top tourist attractions in Wicklow, where you can get up close to a wide variety of farm animals. The farm also includes a large outdoor playground. You can also dine from the onsite coffee shop or enjoy a picnic with the family. 

Tick Tok Activity Farm

The whole family will enjoy a fun filled day at Tick Tok Activity Farm. Visitors can hold and feed a wide variety of animals including rabbits, sheep & donkeys.

SEALIFE Bray 

Take a trip under water at the SEA LIFE Bray Aquarium which houses over 1,000 creatures in 26 amazing displays that include: Black Tip Reef Sharks, Octopus, Seahorses, Stingrays plus Red-Bellied Piranhas. 

Outdoor Activities 

Glendalough

One of Ireland’s most beautiful visitor destinations. Glendalough has many interesting attractions for its visitors, from its world-famous Monastic site with Round Tower to its scenic lake. 

This early Christian settlement was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century and from this developed the “Monastic City”. Most of the buildings that survive today date from the 10th through 12th centuries. Despite attacks by Vikings over the years, Glendalough thrived as one of Ireland’s great ecclesiastical foundations and schools of learning until the Normans destroyed the monastery in 1214 A.D. and the dioceses of Glendalough and Dublin were united. Visitors can also experience the interactive centre which features audio/visual show plus an interesting exhibition. Glendalough is one of the top visitor attractions in Ireland’s Ancient East. 

Powerscourt Estate 

Visit the famous Powerscourt waterfall and enjoy liesurely strolls around the stunning gardens and afterwards you can grab a bite to eat or a coffee at the on site restauarnt and finish the day with a spot of shopping. 

Historical Attractions 

Russborough House

Ideal for families and history enthusiasts Russborough welcomes visitors to explore the grounds and walks of the estate, plus one can explore the rich heritage and the lovely rooms of this historic house. A range of outdoor activities are also on offer including the maze, children’s playground and also the Birds of Prey centre. 

Arklow Maritime Museum 

Located in Bridgewater Centre the Arklow Maritime Museum offers information on the maritime history of Arklow, the main focus of the exhibit is on boat building, lifeboat and fishing traditions of the town. 

Food & Drink 

Wicklow Brewery Tours

Enjoy a tour and beer tasting at the Wicklow Brewery. The tour includes an Audio/Visual presentation with a personalised tour of the brewery plus a beer tasting with 5 x 1/3 pint beer samples.
