Ballast Bank Bar

The Ballast Bank is a rather curious man-made island in Wexford Harbour opposite the Talbot Hotel. It was erected to provide a place for loading and unloading ballast, which was essential to stabilise ships sailing without cargo.  Both the Talbot Hotel and the Ballast Bank were constructed in 1905 and so it seems fitting to name one of Wexford’s landmark bars after one of Wexford’s most famous landmarks.

The perfect venue for a pre-dinner drink or an enjoyable night out in good company.

Based on an old bonded warehouse, The Ballast Bank Bar and Grill provides a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in which to savour your favourite tipple and enjoy the best in live entertainment.

Kia Ora Mini Farm On their day at Kia Ora Mini Farm, the children can hold and feed a variety of live pet animals such as rabbits, poultry, sheep, pot bellied pigs – Bella and Babe, Charlie the Donkey, Jack and Jill the alpacas, Larry the llama, Posh and Becks the black swans, Eddie & Betty the emus, Geoffrey the Macaw, Jessie and Belle our friendly dogs amongst many others Their shed has a fantastic selection of birds and animals and is indoors so no matter what the weather is like you can come and have fun and see all the cute little animals in the barn such as rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs mice & Rats! They also have a really cool tractor area where the younger children can trundle about and even do a bit of digging in our special digging pit! For the slightly older kids Theyhave a special racing track to race our rough riders on and it is all enclosed so they can race without fear of bumping into anyone small. They can also race to milk our milking cow.
