With a variety of sporting, leisure and historical attractions in Mayo there is a wide variety of leisure options available to ensure your holiday is packed with activities.

Visit Enniscrone

Only 7 miles from Ballina, over the Co Sligo border, for years Enniscrone has been the seaside resort for much of Mayo. There are 5km  of safe, clean golden beaches. 

Water Activities: 

7th Wave Surf School

This fantastic family run school can cater for all ages and abilities learning with fully qualified ISA Surf Instructors. Enniscrone beach is renowned as one of the best beaches in Ireland, 5km of golden sand and gentle breaking waves makes this the perfect location for beginners and improvers.

Golf Courses 

Enniscrone is among the finest and most challenging of traditional Irish links golf courses and offers 27 holes on 400 acres of magnificent links land, featuring the par 73 Dunes Championship Links Course. The Dunes is one of Ireland’s top-ranked championship links courses; voted “Best in Connacht” by Golfers Guide to Ireland; repeatedly a top-15 links course in Golf Digest’s review of Irish golf courses and a perennial Top-100 UK course from Golf World. A “must play” as described by American golf novelist Tom Coyne.

Water Activities: 

Waterpoint:

Waterpoint, is an indoor water park. The wet area contains a kids fun pool, a 65 meter flume slide and heat suite with Sauna and Jacuzzi - it is a must for the family.

Equestrian Activities: 

An ideal way to pass an afternoon, avail of riding lessons for the beginner and the more advanced. Try hacking through the Mayo countryside.

Barnfield Equestrian Centre: 

A family run riding school based in Knockmore, Co.Mayo. Providing full livery and competition services. Lessons and hacking available. AIRE approved and BHS qualified instructors.

Coolcronin Equitation Centre:

Coolcronan Equestrian Centre is located on the banks of the world famous Salmon River, the Moy, and a trek with the centre will take you on a scenic cross country adventure through ancient woodlands, pastures and along the river banks.

Kilcullens Seaweed Baths:

For eight decades people have come to bathe in hot seawater and seaweed baths renowned for its therapeutic qualities at Kilcullens Seaweed Baths. The baths have been open for business in Enniscrone since 1912 offering hot sea water, seaweed and steam health baths. Kilcullen's Seaweed Baths are famous the world over for acting as a natural aid to general wellbeing

Mayo Leisure Point os a short 20 minute drive there is a 10 pin in door bowling alley that has 15 lanes. Each lane has an A.M.F fully computerised graphic scoring system and automatic kiddy bumpers. 

Go-Karting:

Blindbrook Karting and Golf Driving Range is only 2km from Ballina - a fun way to improve your "drive". 

Tumble Jungle:

If the little ones are bursting with energy bring them to Ireland's largest indoor play centre. A huge array of bouncy castles, climbing frames and obstacle courses. The adults can chill-out in the café while the kids are busy playing.
